Cristin McKenna, MD, PhD is a research scientist in the Stroke Lab at Kessler Foundation and an Outpatient Physician at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Her clinical and research interests are in physiatric rehabilitation, safety improvement in inpatient facilities, and post-stroke dysfunction. Dr. McKenna completed her undergraduate work at Manhattan College, her doctoral training at the New Jersey Institute of Technology obtaining a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, medical school training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School. Prior to entering medicine, she worked for a biotechnology firm specializing in biological methods for pollution eradication in air, water, and soil.
