Wheelchair racing is a source of great inspiration for many people, because for some, it is their first time ever participating in a team sport. Wheelblazers is open to men and women of high school age or older, and to those who are medically stable, self-motivated, and require minimal assistance for transfers and supervision.

Coaches, instructors, and trained volunteers work with the wheelchair racers who are of all levels of experience and capability. The disabilities of the racers include but are not limited to: spina bifida, spinal cord injury, post-polio, amputations, and non-progressive neuromuscular disorders. Practices are held once a week from April through September in Roselle, New Jersey.

For more information on Wheelblazers, please contact the Foundation offices at (973) 324-8362.
